Plain statements about who we are, how we are paid, and what the content on this site is and is not.
1. Who we are
Valoram Solutions is a licensed insurance agency. [CONFIRM: entity name, state of organization, and national producer number.] Insurance products are offered through licensed and appointed insurance agents. We are not a registered investment advisor or a broker-dealer, and we do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice.
2. How we are paid
When a client places an insurance product, the issuing insurance company pays a commission to the agent and to the agency. You do not pay us a separate fee, and the commission does not increase the price of the product you buy. Commission amounts differ between products and carriers.
3. No fiduciary duty
Unless a written agreement with you says otherwise, we do not act as a fiduciary. An agent's obligation is to recommend products that are suitable for you based on the information you provide. Ask any agent directly, in writing, what standard applies to your relationship.
4. Illustrative figures
Every dollar figure, percentage, monthly income amount, and on-screen chart on this site is illustrative and for discussion only. It is not a quote, an offer, a projection of your actual results, or a guarantee.
Figures shown in our advertisements and on this site are examples used to explain a concept. They are not a promise of what you will receive. Your actual results depend on your age, your state, the amount you place, the specific product and carrier chosen, the rates available on the day you apply, and the terms of the contract you sign. Rates change and are not guaranteed until a contract is issued.
5. Insurance products
Annuities are insurance contracts, not bank deposits and not investments in the stock market. Important points:
- All guarantees are backed solely by the financial strength and claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company. They are not insured by the FDIC, the NCUA, or any federal or state government agency.
- Annuities generally have surrender charge periods. Withdrawing more than the contract allows during that period can cost you money.
- Fees, riders, income rider charges, caps, participation rates, and spreads vary by product and affect what you actually receive.
- Withdrawals may be taxable, and withdrawals before age 59 and a half may carry an additional federal tax penalty. We do not give tax advice; consult your tax professional.
- Product availability and features vary by state.
6. Products other than insurance
An agent may discuss options that are not insurance products. Those are different in kind from an annuity, and the protections described in section 5 do not apply to them.
Any non-insurance option discussed with you may involve risk of loss, including the possible loss of the amount you place. It may be illiquid, meaning you may not be able to access your money when you want it. It may depend on the ability of a private issuer or borrower to pay, and that ability is not guaranteed by any insurance company or by any government agency. It is not FDIC insured. A stated rate is not a guaranteed rate, and no rate of return is promised anywhere on this site.
Certain non-insurance products are securities and may be offered only by individuals holding the appropriate securities registrations, through the firms with which they are registered, and only to investors who meet applicable eligibility requirements. Before placing money in anything, ask for the offering documents, read them, and confirm in writing what licenses the person recommending it holds.
7. No performance promise
Nothing on this site, in our advertisements, or in any video is a promise or prediction of investment results. Past results do not indicate future results. Any comparison to market returns is illustrative and does not mean an option carries the same risk, liquidity, or protection as the thing it is compared to.
8. Educational content
Articles, videos, calculators, and surveys on this site are general education. They are not a recommendation to buy or sell a specific product and are not tailored to your personal circumstances.
9. Agent licensing
Agents are licensed independently. Nothing on this site is a solicitation in any state where the responsible agent is not licensed and appointed. You can and should verify any agent's license with your state Department of Insurance before doing business.
10. Advertising
We advertise on Meta platforms and elsewhere. Advertisements use example figures to illustrate concepts, as described in section 4. If you believe an advertisement of ours is unclear or misleading, tell us at the address below and we will review it.
